Corporate Partnerships
Guide Dogs Queensland is committed to building collaborative partnerships with our corporate supporters in Queensland.
What is corporate partnership?
In the same way as we work with local communities and other agencies in
delivering programs, we offer Queensland’s corporate sector many rewarding ways of becoming involved with our services, which equip, empower and educate blind and vision impaired Queenslanders.
Partnerships that Guide Dogs Queensland forms with the corporate sector are strategic and genuine meaningful alliances.
How corporate partnerships work?
We offer a wide variety of workplace giving and marketing opportunities that can best suit individual company interests, schedules and objectives.
This tailored approach has allowed Guide Dogs Queensland to achieve many successful Corporate Partnerships with a range of different companies in Queensland.
A list of current corporate partners is available by clicking on Our Corporate Partners in the menu.
Partnering opportunities include
- Donating to our Capital Redevelopment;
- Cause-Related Marketing campaigns, sales promotions;
- Work Place Giving and employee engagement/volunteering;
- Board Room Lunches;
- Research and Development
How will it benefit your company?
Organisations that support the community and causes are demonstrating to their stakeholders - including customers and staff - that they are responsible corporate citizens, who seek to behave ethically and contribute to economic development.
In today’s society, research demonstates that customers strongly support a company’s commitment to the local community and are even willing to change their purchasing behaviour.
Research also shows that people want to work for organisations that enable them to make a difference to the community and, in a very tight labour force, it is critical for corporates to meet this need.
A successful Corporate Partnership can:
- Enhance corporate reputation, which can impact share price;
- Increase consumer and stakeholder trust and confidence;
- Enhance brand image;
- Build customer loyalty;
- Increases sales;
- Provide an emotional rationale for purchase;
- Increases staff loyalty, motivation and retention.
Some compelling statistics
Staff impact
Partnerships such as volunteer programs can bring signifcant benefits for companies, and play an important role in efforts to recruit and retain the best people.
One survey found that 92 per cent of the employees asked said that they would rather work for a company with an employee volunteering project than one that does not. Nearly half, 42 per cent, say they are less likely to leave a job where there is an employee volunteering scheme.

Companies that consult their employees about the causes they should support and then give them opportunities to volunteer for that cause will gain a competitive edge. Job fulfillment is far more important than salary. 87 per cent they would feel proud to work for a company that offered support to causes or charities. Almost half the employees said they would seek out employment at a company that had a reputation for supporting charities and 41 per cent say they would be willing to earn less if it provided an opportunity to contribute to community.
