FOR over a decade the Guide Dogs Queensland Wine Club has supported family-owned vineyards and winemakers and is proud to offer a range of thoughtfully selected wines from many of Australia’s renowned wine growing regions including the Hunter Valley, Margaret River, Clare Valley, Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Riverina.
The Guide Dogs Queensland Wine Club is a fundraising arm of Guide Dogs Queensland and all proceeds from wine sales assist the association in providing vital mobility services, including Guide Dogs and white canes, to Queenslanders who are blind or vision impaired.
Our services
Guide Dogs Queensland's services and programs are designed to build our clients' confidence, taking into account their strengths, abilities and individual learning styles.
The associations training and programs include beginner, intermediate and advanced cane training, as well as programs for electronic mobility aids; kids camps; counselling retreats and Guide Dog mobility.
Programs and training take place on site at our Client Residence at Bald Hills as well as in the client’s home and community.
Our special children' s programs are also delivered within school environments, community settings, at home, and on special Guide Dog Queensland’s holiday camps.
These programs are designed to build our young clients’ confidence, promote social interaction, create new friendships and build necessary orientation and mobility skills.
GDQ Wine Club
We offer free delivery Australia-wide and when you 'join the club' you will receive regular emails about special club member offers, wine tastings, meet the winemaker events and news of how your support is empowering blind and vision impaired Queenslanders.
Every three months your name will be put into a draw to win a case of wine to the value of $150. Winners will be notified via email.
We will also soon be offering the chance to conveniently and safely purchase our quality Australian wines through our website... so watch this space.
