Every dollar you donate is directed to our services.

Guide Dogs Queensland receives less than seven per cent in Government funding for some specific rehabilitation services but none is allocated toward our Guide Dog training program.  The funding, which is sourced from State and Federal departments, helps deliver some special education programs for vision impaired children throughout Queensland, and some orientation and mobility training in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

The vast majority of our services are funded and sustained by your donations and community support.  We supplement these costs with income derived from business initiatives such as telemarketing and catalogue sale of goods (conducted by Guide Dogs Queensland), Art Union ticket sales, a Wine Club and ‘Op Shops’.

As we receive such limited government funding, we work hard to keep operational costs to a minimum.  We are able to cover administrative costs through our commercial operation activities.

You can be assured that contributions you make to Guide Dogs Queensland directly benefit blind and vision impaired Queenslanders of all ages.

It is only through your support that the association can continue providing our life changing services at no cost to clients.
