Coffee lovers support GDQ fundraiser on the Sunshine Coast
Thanks to all those coffee lovers who dropped in to Raffaele’s Restaurant in Maroochydore for their caffeine fix during Puppy Appeal Week from 6 – 12 September.
Raffaele’s Restaurant raised $350 for Guide Dogs Queensland through the sale of Puppycinos and Pupcakes.
Puppy Appeal Week is held in September each year to raise awareness of Guide Dogs Queensland and to promote the joys of Puppy Raising.
GDQ needs regular volunteers to love and care for our puppies from 10 weeks of age until about 14 months, when they are ready to begin formal Guide Dog Training.
Puppy Raisers are responsible for teaching basic obedience skills and good manners, and for taking the puppy to public places such as restaurants, shopping centres and on public transport.
