GDQ celebrates at biggest Puppy Progression Party ever!

Guide Dogs Queensland celebrated the progression of 20 puppies from Puppy Development to formal Guide Dog Training this week.

More than 50 people attended the Puppy Progression Party at the GDQ Breeding and Training Centre on Tuesday, 28 September, to recognise the puppies that are about to enter Guide Dog Training and acknowledge the hard work of the volunteers who have raised the pups for the past 10 months.

This was GDQ’s biggest Puppy Progression Party to date and, with the increased number of Guide Dog puppies being bred, this trend is set to continue.

Guide Dog Puppies live with volunteer Puppy Raisers from about 10 weeks of age until they are about 12 months old and ready to enter formal training. Click here for more information on Puppy Raising.
