Gold and Sunshine coasts serving up Puppycinos
Coffee lovers on the Gold and Sunshine coasts are urged to indulge in a Puppycino this week, in support of Guide Dogs Queensland.
On the Gold Coast, Puppycinos are available at The Coffee Club at Australia Fair or Homeworld Helensvale, while on the Sunshine Coast you can enjoy a Puppycino and Pupcake at Rafaele's, 22 Ocean Street, Maroochydore.
The canine-inspired cappuccino is available as part of our Puppy Appeal Week from 6 - 12 September, with a portion of the proceeds going towards the training of more Guide Dogs.
There are currently 79 working Guide Dogs in Queensland, another 29 in formal training and 80 in Puppy Development.
Highlighting the joys of Puppy Raising is one of the many functions of Puppy Appeal Week.
Guide Dogs Queensland needs regular volunteers to love and care for our puppies from 10 weeks of age until about 14 months, when they are ready to begin formal Guide Dog Training.
Puppy Raisers are responsible for teaching basic obedience skills and good manners, and for taking the puppy to public places such as restaurants, shopping centres and on public transport.
