Monster Garage Sale in support of Guide Dogs Queensland - July 2010
Savvy shoppers can snap up a bargain in support of Guide Dogs Queensland at a ‘Monster Garage Sale’ in Toowoomba on Saturday, 24 July.
Household items, furniture, bric-a-brac, books and unwanted treasures will go for a steal at the annual Guide Dogs Queensland Monster Garage Sale, held from 7am to 2pm at St Luke’s Hall on the corner of Ruthven and Herries streets, Toowoomba.
Tea and coffee will be available and shoppers could win great prizes in the multi-draw raffle.
All proceeds from the day will help Guide Dogs Queensland provide services free of charge to Queenslanders who are blind or vision impaired.
GDQ Community Relations Officer Meg Winterford said the local community had always shown generous support towards the organisation and she hoped that would continue this weekend.
“The Monster Garage Sale is a great opportunity to bag yourself a bargain, while also supporting Guide Dogs Queensland,” Ms Winterford said.
“We have a regional office in Toowoomba and provide a range of training and support services to hundreds of Darling Downs residents who are blind or have low vision,” she said.
If you have goods to donate or can assist on the day, please contact Ms Winterford at the Guide Dogs Queensland Toowoomba office by phoning 4632 6944 or by emailing toowoomba@guidedogsqld.com.au .
