Our puppies are weighed daily, in the beginning, to monitor their progress and growth. Our 'W' Litter were just four weeks old when photographed.
Whim catches the attention of Bunnings staff, but does a great job of ignoring the adoring glances. 'Amy' loves to get a quick cuddle.
The 'A' Litter venture further afield and with such delighted looks on their faces, they clearly love the adventure. GDQ's newly graduated working Guide Dog teams, with our Patron, the Governor of Queensland Ms Penelope Wensely AO; and Minster for Disability Services Annastacia Palaszczuk. The event was held on our beautiful grounds at our Breeding and Training Centre, in Bald Hills, Brisbane.The Lord Mayor Campbell Newman leanrs about the UltraCane from Rehabilitation Services Manager Bashir Ebrahim. Young GDQ puppy 'Kessie', in training and showing of her excellent sit skills.  UltraCane client Cindi can walk safely and confidently through Brisbane's Queen St Mall, thanks to the Braille Trail. Clients learn and train in a wide range of mobility aids and new mobility skills at Guide Dogs Queensland. This photo shows just a few of the mobility aids available to blind and vision impaired Queenslanders, including the Guide Dog, UltraCane, GPS Trekker and Mini-Guide. Guide Dog puppy Molly appears so confident and composed as she poses for this photo. Our puppies star again this year on our Christmas Cards. These images were taken for Christmas 08...too cute! Members of the Queensland Council of Imaams learn some sighted guide techniques during a recent visit to Guide Dogs Queensland's breeding and training centre. GDQ Rehabilitation Services manager Bashir Ebrahim, and our 2009 UltraCane graduates Elaine Foyle, Mavis McCudden, JOan Scott, Beth Kuss, Ken Wade with Federal MP for Petrie Yvette D'Ath. Staff, clients, and the Brisbane CBD lunch-time crowd enjoyed the great live music from our entertainers, who were also blind and vision impaired. Jack Murphy and Steve Sparrow did an improptu jamming session as an encore to their performances during International White Cane Day celebrations in the Brisbane Queen St Mall. Hayley Kitchener delighted the crowds with her sweet vocals during International White Cane Day. GDQ Rehabilitation Counsellor Jorge Lopez demonstrates some of the mobility aids available to people who are blind and vision impaired members of the public during International White Cane Day. UltraCane graduates Mavis and Beth enjoyed the day out in the Brisbane CBD. Federal Member for Petrie Yvette D'Ath and GDQ Orientation and Mobility Instructor Errol Ingram lead out clients and supporters along the Queen St Mall Braille Trail, during International White Cane Day.
