OctoberFETCH 2011

Come, Sit and Stay for some fabulous four-legged fun, and help us raise funds for the training of Guide Dogs.

Grab your dog, round up the kids and join us at Pine Rivers Park, Gympie Rd, Strathpine on Sunday, October 2nd from 10am to 2pm.

With some of our biggest annual fundraisers cancelled this year, including our annual Open Day, OctoberFETCH is now your only opportunity to get up close and personal with our magnificent Guide Dogs.

It costs $30,000 to breed, train, and place every single Guide Dog - which we provide free-of-charge to Queenslanders who are blind or vision impaired. By participating in OctoberFETCH you will be helping to raise much needed funds for Guide Dogs Queensland to train and place more dogs in line with the growing demand for our services.

Here's how you can help:

Sign up to participate in our 4km Dog-a-thon fundraising walk and your own fundraising webpage will be created. Recruit family and friends to sponsor you in your walk and help you achieve your fundraising target.

The day will also feature a range of affordable doggie and child-friendly activities – all aimed at raising much needed funds. The day will include:

  • Doggie competitions
  • Doggie displays
  • A Guide Dog training demonstration and puppy parade
  • Market Stalls
  • Kid's rides and games
  • Delicious food, BBQ's, coffee and drinks
  • Competitions, prizes and special guests
  • And heaps more!

Plan your day early by downloading the Program of Events and checking out the Event Map.

So paw print your diary and get ready to party with your pooch at
Guide Dogs Queensland’s 2011 OctoberFETCH.
