Australia Post 
 

Australia Post staff generously donated proceeds of their Be Seen in Red and Green fundraising campaign to Guide Dogs Queensland. The staff body raises money for charity through the sale of Christmas decorations for trees, which are featured on posters. As Diamond Sponsors, Australia Post also run a naming competition among their staff, with their sponsored puppy being christened ‘Unity’.

Bruce Lynton BMW

Bruce Lynton BMW Gold Coast continued its enduring relationship with Guide Dogs Queensland through their annual ball and the provision of BMWs as prizes for GDQ’s Art Union. The Bruce Lynton BMW Charity Ball is held annually in the ballroom of the Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. The function supports Queensland Surf Lifesaving, Cancer Council Queensland and GDQ. The proceeds raised at last year's ball has helped sponsor three new puppies – ‘Brucie’, ‘Astro’ and ‘Sapphire’.

Freehills

Law firm Freehills continue to support GDQ through a $5000 matching program for staff who volunteer and give to Guide Dogs Queensland through their workplace giving program. This year, Freehills are the proud Gold Sponsors of puppies ‘Nev’ and ‘George’.

Gold Coast Desalination Alliance 
 

The Gold Coast Desalination Alliance has embarked on a Diamond Collar sponsorship of Guide Dog puppy ‘Utah’ through its Social Club and management matching contributions over a two-year period. The Alliance project manages the construction of the desalination plant at Tugun on the Gold Coast, which will service drinking water requirements for South East Queensland.

Hutchinson Builders

Hutchinson Builders has embarked on a Diamond Collar Sponsorship of ‘Quinnie’ by raising money through their M on Mary project, in Brisbane. On-site raffles, donations from the developer and matched contributions from Hutchinson Builders has helped generate the $25,000 that will support ‘Quinnie’ through her training.

Macrossans Lawyers

Macrossans Lawyers provide invaluable Pro Bono legal advice to Guide Dogs Queensland and are major sponsors of our bi-annual newsletter ‘Outlook’ which has a circulation of around 40,000 copies. Macrossans Lawyers expertise in dealing with legal issues is appreciated providing peace of mind as well as significant cost savings.

The MBA Partnership

The MBA Partnership continues its ongoing support of Guide Dogs Queensland by hosting an Annual Charity Golf in October on the Gold Coast. The funds raised at the event have gone towards the sponsorship of several puppies, their latest is ‘Lester’. The most recet MBA Partnership Charity Golf Day was held on October 10, 2008 and another one is already in the planning for next year. McCullough Robertson

McCullough Robertson began their Platinum Collar Sponsorship, of pup ‘Leo’, in December 2007. As a platinum sponsor, the law firm's donation is dedicated to the care and training of pup ‘Leo’, a black Labrador/Retriever Cross. With McCullough Robertson’s assistance, ‘Leo’ will receive the best of care and training on his journey to becoming a Guide Dog.

Nextra

The Nextra Group, through the generosity of its members, that is the owners and managers of Nextra and News Extra Newsagencies and the kindness of their suppliers, have made a continuing commitment to GDQ as a Diamond Collar Sponsor. Members and suppliers donated and bidded on various items at their Annual Conference Silent Charity Auction with the objective of assisting Guide Dogs Queensland to further continue their commitment to empower the vision impaired.

Stellar, Asia Pacific

Stellar, Asia Pacific, continues its ongoing support of Guide Dogs Queensland through a workplace giving program. The funds raised through this program have gone towards the platinum sponsorship of several puppies, their latest is ‘Summer’.

Terry White pharmacies - Carindale and Garden City

The Terry White pharmacies at Carindale and Garden City in Brisbane continued contributing to a Diamond Collar Sponsorship of ‘Molly’, a golden Labrador Retriever cross puppy, whose journey they are funding over a two-year period through a workplace giving and company matching program.

Wilsons HTM

Financial services firm Wilson HTM continued contributing to Guide Dogs Queensland through the Wilson HTM Foundation having undertaken a two-year sponsorship package. Wilson HTM is also a foundation partner of the Brisbane Big City BBQ, which also raises money for Guide Dogs Queensland.

The Compass Group (Australia) Pty Ltd, is a national supporter of Guide Dogs Australia, and with the support of its employees has undertaken to sponsor a pup in various schools in Australia. The first Guide Dog puppy to receive the benefits of Diamond collared sponsorship is ‘Vala’, a puppy born at Guide Dogs Queensland.
