This must be one of our cutest, softest, fluffiest and furriest litters we’ve ever had at Guide Dogs.
The ‘U’ litter was born on 28th April to first time Golden Retriever Mum ‘Billie’ and seasoned Stud Dog Dad ‘Cupid’.
The pups arrived in textbook style, making delivery very easy for the dedicated novice mother and proved to be strong and capable feeders from day one. The pups focused in the first three weeks on drinking, sleeping and being very comfortable tucked under their mother’s fluffy tummy!
With sweet white markings on their foreheads just like their Dad, they were easy to identify in the nest, with one little boy even having an identical heart shaped mark (which is how his father acquired the name ‘Cupid’). This male pup has affectionately been called ‘Hartley’!
We look forward to seeing what these adorable bundles of fluff are capable of as they grow and develop as working dogs.
We have three more litters due at the Guide Dogs Breeding Centre towards the end of July – so get your thinking caps on for puppy names beginning with S, T or W!!! Visit our Facebook page and leave your name suggestion.
