Ambassador Dog ‘Archie’ and his volunteer handler Joy have become local icons on the Sunshine Coast over the past eight years, helping to raise awareness and much needed funds for Guide Dogs through donations to ‘Archie’s’ collection bowl.
With only three weeks left before he retires, ‘Archie’ and Joy need your help to fill their collection bowl to the brim and reach their goal of raising $150,000 for Guide Dogs!
Joy said it has been heart-warming to have had so many people donating to ‘Archie’s’ collection bowl over the years and that it would mean a lot to have the community get behind him one last time.
“We’re so close to reaching our $150,000 goal but we still really need the help of everyone out there to help get us over the line,” said Joy.
“It would really mean a lot to think we’ve been able to reach this special milestone together with the support of the community before ‘Archie’ retires at the end of June.”
We rely on the suppawt of wonderful people like you to provide our vital services to Queenslanders in need, including the iconic Guide Dogs that cost at least $35,000 to breed, raise and train.
To help ‘Archie’ reach his goal before he hangs up his coat for the last time, visit him in the Myer Store at the Sunshine Plaza for the remaining weekends in June or click here to donate online.
