We are pleased to welcome Dan English on board as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Guide Dogs Queensland.

Dan joins us from Guide Dogs Tasmania, where he served as CEO for the past seven years. He also has a professional background as a Guide Dog Instructor and Orientation and Mobility Instructor – qualifications he earned while working at Guide Dogs Queensland during his time here in the 1990s.

Dan’s wealth of experience and knowledge will be very beneficial to our organisation and the clients we serve.

At this time we would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Barb Tasker, who took on the role of CEO in the interim until a permanent appointment was made. Barb has made many valuable contributions to the organisation over the past year and we thank her for her efforts. Barb has now returned to her role as Chief Financial Officer.

Please join us in welcoming Dan English back to Guide Dogs Queensland.

  1. Well, Dan, very many congratulations, and a very Happy New Year! Great news to hear you’re back where you belong!
My interest in QDAQ has diminished over the past number of years, however certainly you should bring back the sparkle, and I will watch with interest over the coming months what good things you will bring to the Queensland Association.
Best wishes from both of us.
