The new Client Services department at Guide Dogs Queensland has combined Rehabilitation Services and Guide Dog Client Services to create a one-stop shop for clients.

Formed in January 2015, the new approach has three main benefits:

  1. A more streamlined process for clients with a team of specialists in the one area who can provide instruction in all aspects of Orientation and Mobility, including the use of advanced tools like new technologies and Guide Dogs
  2. It better prepares Guide Dogs Queensland and our clients for the introduction of the NDIS to Queensland in July 2016
  3. Having all-rounder specialists reduces travel costs around the state as one specialist can now visit an area instead of separate instructors to cater for Orientation & Mobility and Guide Dog Services.

    Does your heading the all-in-one Client Service mean a promotion for you?

    Whether it does or not I think a combined service is a good idea.
