Five vision impaired tandem cycle teams dared to don the lycra and participate in the BMW Ride for Life Challenge on Sunday 8 November.

The 10 cyclists trained every Sunday morning for several weeks before participating in the gruelling 87 kilometre ride event around Brisbane.

Each team was made up of a vision impaired “stoker” and a sighted “pilot”, who sits at the front of the tandem bike to help navigate the path and keep them safe.

We were very grateful to receive a donation of $7,500 from Brisbane BMW and Westside BMW at the event. Congratulations to all of our riders and thank you to the other 850 riders who participated to help raise money for us!
